Gemba: A Japanese word for 'real place' or the 'work place', where there is an addition of value. Generally this term refers to the place where action takes place. For ex. For a marketing person Market is his gemba, for a accountant accountant section is his gemba.

Gemba Kaizen: A 5 day blitz of continuous process at a gemba, using a cross functional team to resolve an issue completely.

Gembutsu: A Japanese word for tangible objects of the workplace, such as work pieces, rejects, jigs, fixtures, tools and machines.

Genchi Gembutsu: Actual Place, Real Things. Go to the problem area and approach problem solving.
